Anixter

Location | Kent 64 Distribution Center      Space | 200,000 SF     Project Goal | Renewal & Expansion

Subsequent to WESCO’s acquisition of Anixter, our team was deployed to consolidate both respective business’ distribution facilities to one centralized hub. After running geographic logistics analysis and attrition studies we focused on options that were, “port-centric,” between the Port of Seattle and the Port of Tacoma (Kent to Auburn). Our search yielded 4 viable alternatives, each with different-institutional ownership entities. Ultimately the negotiations at the alternative sites resulted in our ability to negotiate a very competitive renewal with an above market T.I. allowance and delayed occupancy of the expansion space to provide WESCO adequate time and capital to supplement a comfortable transition to the consolidation.
